New craze documentary style photography
There is a beautiful shift happening in the world of wedding photography-and it completely resonates with me.
The newest trend is all about capturing the real moments: the sudden bursts of laughter, the happy chaos, the wind catching a veil just right, or the blur of a couple spinning in pure joy. It’s cinematic! it's imperfect! That’s exactly what makes it so magical.
I have fallen in love with the way this style embraces movement and emotion. There is something powerful about freezing a moment mid-motion-rather than pausing life to pose. Let’s be honest! The traditional stiff poses can feel awkward for many of us (especially the couples!). This newer, freer approach allows people to simply be themselves-and I think that is when the most beautiful images happen.
It is as if creativity has been let out of its lamp, finally free to tell the story in a way that’s lively, romantic, glamorous, and true. These photographs still capture the love, the intimacy, and even the playful side of the couple-but now with a sense of realness and energy that feels so genuine.
For me, this style isn’t just a trend-it’s a reflection of what I value most as a photographer. Emotion, connection, and the messy, wonderful beauty of real life.
